Brother Dash ( ) is one of the most popular and well known Muslim poets in the world. Born in Brooklyn, NY and currently residing in New Jersey, Brother Dash has performed on both sides of the Atlantic and has the distinction of having performed in front of over 100,000 people and has been seen in over 2 million households globally in the past 18 months alone. He has performed with established Muslim artists such as Sami Yusuf, Native Deen, 786, and Preacher Moss. He has also shared the stage with scholars and lecturers such as Imam Zaid Shakir, Sheikh Abdullah Adhami, Imam Siraj Wahhaj, Imam Johari Abdul Malik and Sheikh Hamza Yusuf, and Dr. Umar Abdul Faruq Abdullah.

Brother Dash first appeared on the Spoken Word compilation CD "Rhyme and Reason" in 2003 which was picked up for national distribution and stocked by stores such as Barnes & Noble, Tower Records, Virgin Megastore and He released a 6 track solo EP entitled "The MuslimPoet EP" in 2005 which sold out of its 3 print runs. Brother Dash was the only poet asked to perform for the two biggest Islamic shows in the UK (Global Peace and Unity and ExpoIslamia) ranking him as perhaps the only poet in the world to have performed live for over 60,000 people in 6 months alone. Brother Dash has performed at: In 2007 Brother Dash became the first poet signed to Islamic recording powerhouse Meem Music and released his new and first full length poetry album entitled Poetically Speaking: Savory Spoken Word...Spiritually Served! which features 12 original Spoken Word Poetry performances. The album is available not only in the US and the UK but now with Meem Music Poetically Speaking will be available in the Australia and English speaking communities throughout the Muslim world. Brother Dash credits his Islamic faith, appreciation for literature, study of poets and poetry, and love of early Hip-Hop and Soul for his style.
